You've read about the elusive members of the Council. The worldwide psychic crime syndicate that has a finger in every pie - especially when it comes to technological advancement.

Well, here they are, revealed in their entirety for the first time.

Remember - these are the Apostles as per book 1 - Guardian Angels.

In a few months time, I will update the chart to keep the timeline in sync with book 2 - Guardians.

Because changes do take place, and you'll see why.

 

As you read the books, see if you can spot the characters mentioned here, and try to imagine them employing their abilities to further the diabolical schemes of the Council itself.

 

But, what are their strengths?

What extra abilities do they manufacture through the fiendish machinations the Council puts into operation as they try to stay one step ahead of the Guardians? 

 

And what is it about Lei Yeung that helped him achieve such influence in the first place?

 

Ah. The books contain the answer.

Guardian Psychic Abilities

 

 

Those of you who have read the books will have discovered the Guardians possess a range of abilities that are the stuff of dreams and legend. Telekinesis, teleportation, and telepathy - to name a few.

 

But what range of gifts do they possess?

Ah, for that, you'll have to read the books. However, included at the bottom of the page is a chart of the main abilities you will see mentioned. Some candidates are blessed with only one or two cardinal attributes. Others, simply overflow with power, especially those who have attained an Ultra level of existence.

 

As you enjoy their adventures, look out for the specific abilities mentioned within the story, and see if you can spot a number of unusual gifts that are not specifically mentioned here. Then imagine where those abilities might fit on the chart.

How the Ranks Work

 

 

In creating the Guardians, I wanted to define them in a way that people could relate to. And, as readers of the Guardians will now know, they have a rank and command structure.

But, how does it actually work?

 

The books relate to the fact that department heads are among some of the strongest Guardians in existence. They have survived the transension process, shed their mortal frame, and become a being of pure energy and thought. "Ultra" is the term used.

 

Guardian Angels made the point that Earth had reach a stage in its social and psychological evolution whereby more and more people than ever before were breaking through into psychic operancy. And, as Guardians emphasized, more and more of those were achieving the level required whereby they could expand into an ultra magnified status. That is why the original, and much simplified, rank structure was revised.

It's setting the pattern for what's to follow in later books as more and more transcended Guardians make an appearance and fill posts that will be revealed. ( soon - patience)

 

However, that doesn't affect the Command Structure.

Quite simply, a department head is someone who has achieved the rank of Guardian Lord. If they are appointed to lead an actual branch within the Guardian infrastructure, they are still referred to as, eg, Lord Healer, Lord Inquisitor, etc, BUT, they carry the rank of a High Lord.

 

Their deputy is someone who has achieved the highest rank possible without triggering the transension process. High Grand Master.  You will remember from the books that the Lord Concilliator, Vladimir Arihkin's deputy is High Grandmaster Joseph West. That pattern is followed in all the other departments too.

 

The Overlord ensured such a framework was adopted, to safeguard unity. Both transcended and human Guardians are represented within the command structure, and have a voice in policy and development.

 

That will prove important in future years, as you will see.

For those of you who ever wondered how the Guardian's system of command is structured...

You will hear certain departments mentioned as you go through the story. The Inquisitors, The Procurators, The Lord Concilliators Office, etc, etc.

Well, now you will understand a little bit more about who does what.
